Rosanna Cecchini

I graduated in 1992 from Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art, Dundee with a Masters in Fine Art. After many years working in arts administration and film, I returned to painting in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic and lockdowns. I felt the need to sit amongst the little things; the bugs, grasses and flowers, and look up at the big things; the light, sky and clouds and contemplate what it means to be here and now.I'm interested in connecting with nature and recording those moments. My paintings are like little bits of graffiti, scribbles that say "I was here. I saw this with my eyes. I made this with my hands".I hope you enjoy looking at this selection of my recent work. If you would like to get in touch with me, please do so through the contact page.

Still Life

Sometimes I like to arrange flowers and vegetables, things that come from the earth, and study them in the light.all images © Rosanna Cecchini

Landscapes

I like to climb up hills and fields and sit amongst nature. It doesn't matter if I paint the same spot over and over again as every day is unique.all images © Rosanna Cecchini
